Thanks to SKY, our first week with teams missing – did you all spot that?

Yes, the Spurs – West Ham game was moved from yesterday to Thursday, meaning it could not be included in this week’s fixtures. It will, however, be added to next week’s which starts today, don’t forget, meaning that all your players from those 2 clubs will get 2 bites at the cherry; a chance to use your Triple Captain – what a shame Harry Kane is ill, apparently.

All these matches in quick succession, plus 2 teams not even playing, means that anyone without constant access to the internet is really at risk – and so it turned out. We are now eliminating just 1 score from here on, and this meant losing our final player outside the top 50, so things could get very interesting from here on.

Right, we’re off for a bracing walk so I’ll leave you with this:

Week 21

Average Score: 51.21 (19 participants) – overall competition average 45

Highest Score: 64 – overall competition high score 122

Overall Competitors: 5,628,588 (an increase of 17,719)

Eliminated This Week:

With 23 points: Silva Machine (Rod Fine)
Gameweek Rank:
Key Selections:
Captain – de Bruyne (Man City) : 3=6 – successful alternatives: 0
8 others scored 5 between them – several of them not playing.
Nothing would’ve helped – everyone injured/unavailable.

Surviving this week:

Unknown XI (Pete Whiteley) : 31 – getting to be a regular appearance
Everyone else scored 42+

Top Scorer:

With 64 points : Hi Ho Silva Lining (Lester Deeble)
Gameweek Rank:
326,859 (based on gross score of 68)
Key Selections:
Salah (Liverpool) : (C) 14=28
No other player scored 10+
5 others scored 6 between them

18 players going into Week 22. As I mention above, the deadline is today – in fact it’s already passed, so if you haven’t taken full advantage of Spurs and West Ham playing twice, it’s too late.
