In the real world, a great away win for the boys, and still with the same manager.

Apparently, we’ve sent Everton a Cease and Desist letter; I bet we have. Anyway, here in fantasy land, none of this matters.  And we’ve got another game week tomorrow – hands up if you’re thinking of making Lukaku captain? Hands up if you still haven’t added Richarlison to your squad?  Have you seen his price now?  I’ve had to get sell 2 to get him in along with a cheap old makeweight I might well live to regret.

But, time is pressing, and apparently Bill Kenwright wants me to call him back – yes, they are now that desperate.

Here we go, then:

Week 13

Average Score: 48.67 (46 participants) – overall competition average 43

Highest Score: 65 – overall competition high score 101

Overall Competitors: 5,411,630 (an increase of 25,269 over last week – shall we have sweepstake on when this drops to fewer than 100?)

Eliminated This Week:

With 23 points: The Watford (James Bratton)
Gameweek Rank:
Key Selections:
Captain – Lukaku (Man Utd) : 2=4 – successful alternatives: 1 (on the bench)
7 other players scored 13 between them – none of the team scored more than 3.
Playing Gomes (Watford) : 8 instead of Lloris (Spurs) : 2 (and making him captain) would’ve been enough.

With 24 points: JanmaterOfLife&Death (Paul Harris)
Gameweek Rank:
Key Selections:
Captain – Deeney (Watford) : 0 – successful alternatives: 0
7 other players scored 9 between them
Nothing would’ve helped.
In fact, 3 injured outfield players on the bench meant that Deeney couldn’t be subbed out – not that it would’ve helped, as the Vce-captain scored 0 as well.

With 28 points: The hornets sting (Noel Tillyard)
Gameweek Rank:
Key Selections:
Captain – de Bruyne (Man City) : 2=4 – successful alternatives: 1
7other players scored 12 between them
Nothing would’ve helped.

Surviving this week:

Man Utd (James Bond) : 30 (saved by the final score recorded)
Fight Club (Tyler Durden) : 33
Heaving binbags (Ash Peters) : 34

Top Scorer:

With 65 points : Sing when Winning FC (Paul Smyth)
Gameweek Rank:
Key Selections:
Aguerro (Man City) : (C) 8=16
Sterling (Man City) : 13
4 others scored 30 between them
The other 5 scored 6 between them

And a quick shout out to the 3 remaining members of the “Never been in trouble” club – none of whom have been fewer than 10 points from elimination:

All Gone Pozzo (Stuart Brant)
gloryhornetboys (Mike James)
When Ken’s Fishing (Ian Poole)

So we will are down to 43 players going into Week 14.
